Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 August 2026 · Applies to the YET mobile app for iOS and Android.

The short version

Everything you put into YET — your weight, your photos, your goal — is stored only on your phone. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server that receives your history. The single exception is purchase information, which goes to our payments provider so your subscription works. That is the whole policy; the rest is detail.

Who is responsible

Taron Alaverdyan, trading as YET, Armenia, is the data controller for this app. Contact: taron.alaverdyan.97@gmail.com.

What YET stores, and where

Subscription statusYour device, and our payments providerSo paid features work, and so you can restore a purchase

YET has no user accounts. Nothing ties this data to your name, email or phone number, because the app never asks for any of them.

Health information

Body weight is health information, and in some places (including the EU and UK) it is treated as a special category of personal data deserving extra protection. YET's answer to that is structural: your weight and photos never leave your device. We cannot read them, sell them, analyse them or hand them over, because we never receive them.

YET does not connect to Apple Health or Google Fit, and does not read any health data from your phone.

The one thing that is sent off your device

Purchases are handled by RevenueCat, Inc., which works with the Apple App Store and Google Play to manage subscriptions. When you buy or restore a subscription, RevenueCat receives a store-issued purchase identifier and an anonymous app-generated user id, so it can tell the app whether your subscription is active.

RevenueCat does not receive your weight, your photos, your goals or your notification history. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Apple and Google process the payment itself under their own policies. We never see your card details.

Advertising and analytics

YET contains no advertising and no analytics. There is no tracking SDK, no advertising identifier use, no crash reporting service and no third-party analytics. We do not build a profile of you and there is nothing to opt out of.

Permissions the app asks for

PermissionWhat it is for
NotificationsThe core of the app: scheduled reminders showing your before photo. Decline and the app still works, but does almost nothing.
CameraOnly if you choose to take a before or progress photo.
Photo libraryOnly if you choose to pick an existing photo. YET reads the single image you select; it does not browse or index your library.

All notification scheduling happens on your device. No notification is sent from a server, and the app works fully offline.

Your rights, and how to use them

Because your data is on your phone rather than on our servers, you exercise most rights directly in the app rather than by asking us:

RightHow
See your dataIt is all visible in the app — Progress shows every weigh-in.
Export itSettings → Export weigh-ins (CSV). Yours to keep, in a standard format.
Delete itSettings → Delete all my data. This erases weigh-ins, photos and settings from the device immediately and cannot be undone. Deleting the app also removes everything.
Stop the notificationsSettings → "This isn't helping me" turns every notification off in one tap, with no questions and no offers.

For subscription data held by RevenueCat, or for any question about this policy, contact us at taron.alaverdyan.97@gmail.com. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Data retention

Your data stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete on your behalf. Purchase records are kept by RevenueCat and the app stores for as long as their own policies and tax obligations require.

Children

YET is not intended for children. It is designed for adults setting their own weight goals, and it should not be used by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

A note on what this app is

YET is not medical advice, and it is not a treatment for an eating disorder. If food or weight is taking up more room in your life than it should, please talk to a doctor or a qualified professional.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top, and the app will point to it.
